Andrew, an experienced leader with extensive U.S. and international experience both in Medical Affairs and drug development, joined Ipsen in July 2024 as Senior Vice President, Head of North America Medical Affairs.

In his role at Ipsen, Andrew is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of our North America Medical Affairs team as well as for planning, drug safety, and medical affairs operations.

Andrew is joining Ipsen from Pfizer where he most recently served as SVP, Chief Medical Affairs Officer, Specialty Care, supporting global strategies and regional execution around the world. Prior to this, he was the VP, North America Oncology Medical Affairs at Pfizer, leading a diverse team in both headquarters and field-based roles, across both the U.S. and Canada. Andrew also worked for AstraZeneca where his last position was Global Medicines Lead working in immuno-oncology and before that as VP, Oncology US Medical Affairs. Prior to AstraZeneca, Andrew held various roles of increasing responsibility at Bristol-Myers Squibb and Roche. He has also successfully led many change initiatives and delivered complementary real-word data generation activities to support market access and medical/payer value. Before his time in industry, Andrew spent three years working in the National Health Service in Glasgow, UK, where he was responsible for day-to-day delivery of patient care.

Andrew received his MBChB Hons. and BSc. Hons. in Molecular Biology from Glasgow University.
