Protecting Your Candidate Experience at Ipsen
At Ipsen we are committed to a transparent and secure recruitment process. Because of our global profile, we are occasionally targeted by scammers who impersonate our recruitment team to steal personal information or money.
Your security is our priority. Please review our official hiring process below.
Candidate Security Awareness
For your safety, protect your personal information throughout your job search. Do not share passwords or one-time passcodes, avoid clicking unexpected links or opening unknown attachments, and verify the sender’s email domain carefully. If you create a Workday account, use a strong, unique password (and enable multi-factor authentication if prompted). If anything feels unusual, stop and report it using the steps below.
Our Legitimate Hiring Process
To ensure you are speaking with us, please note our standard operating procedure:
All legitimate roles are hosted on Ipsen’s official careers site. Apply via our careers page: https://www.ipsen.com/careers/ and Workday Job Portal
You may also apply through other legitimate websites such as LinkedIn.
Upon applying, you will be asked to create a Workday account. This portal allows you to track your status, view messages from our team, and securely manage your documents.
We prioritize “The Ipsen Way of Being”, which means we value human connection. If you are invited to interview, you will always have a live interaction (via video call or in-person) with an Ipsen recruiter or hiring manager before any offer is made.
In some countries, candidates who progress to screening with a recruiter and/or an interview with the hiring manager, may be contacted by an Ipsen-approved scheduling AI tool (Paradox, sometimes referred to as Charlie) via text message, WhatsApp, or email to arrange a suitable time. The screening call or interview itself will be with a human Ipsen employee (not an AI interviewer). If you are unsure whether the outreach is legitimate, log into your application via the portal on the official Ipsen careers page and check your candidate status (you should see either “Under consideration” or “Interview”).
If you are selected, candidates will receive their offer documentation to review and sign electronically via a reputable e-signature service (for example, Adobe Acrobat Sign). Your recruiter or hiring manager will confirm in writing that the offer paperwork has been sent and when you should expect it. If you are ever in doubt, always check back with the individual you have been communicating with via their official ‘ipsen.com’ email address.
Important: We do not extend final offers via text, Telegram, or social media – including platforms like WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
Official emails from our recruitment team will only come from addresses ending in ‘@ipsen.com’.
Red Flags: How to Spot a Scam
Be alert to these increasingly sophisticated tactics used by fraudulent actors:
Fraudulent approaches often look professional but contain specific “red flags.” Be vigilant if you encounter the following:
Non-Corporate Domains: Scammers can spoof legitimate addresses by adding or swapping letters/numbers (e.g., extra characters or “rn” instead of “m”) to make a domain look familiar at first glance – always check the full domain carefully. Legitimate Ipsen recruiters only use email addresses ending in ‘@ipsen.com’. We do not use ‘@outlook.com’, ‘@gmail.com’, or any variation like ‘@ipsen-careers.net.’
LinkedIn & Social Media Messages: We may contact you on LinkedIn to introduce ourselves, but we will not interview you, make an offer, or ask for documents or payments via LinkedIn Messenger, WhatsApp, Telegram, or text message. Any interview and offer will be arranged through official Ipsen channels.
Financial Scams (Payments/Cheques): Ipsen will never ask you to pay money at any stage of the recruitment process (e.g., for background checks, visa sponsorship, or “onboarding deposits”). We will also never send you a cheque or transfer funds to buy equipment and then ask you to send money back (for example, to “return the excess”).
AI-Enhanced Impersonation & “Deepfake” Interviews: Scammers are now using sophisticated AI tools to mimic Ipsen’s corporate identity. Be alert for:
- Synthetic Media: Be cautious of “pre-recorded” video interviews or live video calls where the recruiter’s lip movements don’t perfectly sync with the audio, or their background looks unnaturally blurred. Genuine Ipsen interviews involve real-time, interactive dialogue.
- Technical Mimicry: Fraudsters may use AI to generate highly technical, Ipsen-specific job descriptions or “onboarding manuals” that mirror our focus in Oncology, Rare Disease, or Neuroscience.
- LinkedIn Spoofing: Scammers may create look-alike LinkedIn profiles using AI-generated photos and real Ipsen employee names. Verify the person by checking they are listed on the official Ipsen LinkedIn company page, that their work email ends in ‘@ipsen.com’, and that the role exists in the Ipsen Workday Careers Portal. If you’re unsure, stop the conversation and contact Ipsen through the official website.
Action Steps: If You Suspect Fraud
If you are contacted by someone claiming to be from Ipsen and the interaction feels suspicious:
Verify the Job Posting: If someone shares a Job ID or link, verify the role by searching Ipsen’s official careers site and Workday portal. If you cannot find the role or anything does not match what you have been told, pause the conversation and contact Ipsen through the official careers website to confirm the role is genuine.
Stop Communication: Do not click links, download attachments, or provide any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
Report it: Forward suspicious emails or screenshots of chat messages to corporate.communications@ipsen.com, who will inform Talent Acquisition and Global Security for further investigation and onward action. We also recommend reporting recruitment fraud to your local authorities, such as ‘ReportFraud’ (UK), the Federal Trade Commission (USA), or THESEE (France). If you have paid or transferred any money or have shared any banking details, report this to your banking provider immediately.
