For over three decades, Ipsen has built world-class expertise in naturally occurring neurotoxins — some of nature’s most sophisticated molecular machines. Our deep understanding extends from fundamental mechanisms of action to complex pharmaceutical development and precision manufacturing, establishing us as a key global player across the complete development spectrum.

This spans both therapeutic applications for debilitating neurological conditions and aesthetic applications to improve quality of life. From discovery through to global commercialization, we understand nature’s complexity and have shaped it into therapies.

Engineering the future

Working beyond nature’s constraints, Ipsen’s scientists have engineered corabotase. Corabotase is not another iteration; it’s a potential first-in-class innovation. Building on decades of expertise, we are now pioneering an entirely new class of recombinant neuroinhibitors (RNITM) that represent our expanding R&D pipeline.

Through advanced recombinant protein engineering, Ipsen’s experts have designed and produced a unique investigational recombinant neuroinhibitor (RNITM). Now designated by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Non-proprietary Names (INN) Expert Committee and the United States Adoption Name (USAN) Council as corabotase, recognizing the novelty of the moelcule.
