Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the ways in which Personal Information about individuals (“Users”) who use this website (the “Website”) may be collected, stored and used by IPSEN PHARMA SINGAPORE PTE. LTD., (“Ipsen”), the data controller.

We review this Privacy Policy regularly and will post any material changes on this page. Where practicable, we will also display a notice on the Website so that you are aware of significant updates before they take effect. Your Personal Information (as defined below) will always be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy that was in effect at the time of collection.

1. Personal Information Collected

Ipsen may collect Personal Information when you register to become a User, including your name, e-mail address, city and country of residence (“Personal Information”). If you wish to receive information from Ipsen/contact Ipsen, these categories of Personal Information are mandatory.

When you register as a User, we clearly label which information is required for registration, and which information is optional and may be given at your discretion.

2. Use of Personal Information

Ipsen may use your Personal Information to:

  • Send you service-related communications (e.g., password resets).
  • Send you marketing or scientific materials, but only if you have opted in. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 6).
  • Update our records, keep your contact details up to date, and carry out other business and administrative purposes.
  • Process and respond to any complaint made by you.
  • Comply with any law, rule, regulation, lawful and binding determination, decision or direction of a regulator, or cooperate with any governmental authority.

Your Personal Information will not be sold, shared or otherwise distributed to third parties without your consent, except where we are required to do so because of an applicable law, court order or governmental regulation, or if such disclosure is otherwise necessary in support of any criminal or other legal investigation or proceeding here or abroad.

3. Cross-Border Transfers of Personal Information

Where we transfer your Personal Information outside Singapore (for example, to our data-hosting providers or Ipsen affiliates in the EU), we will ensure that the recipient provides a standard of protection that is comparable to the protection under the PDPA, by entering contractual obligations or relying on other legally permitted safeguards.

4. Retention of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is processed and kept only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law, after which they are securely deleted or de-identified.

5. Security

Your Personal Information will be stored on secure servers and maintained strictly confidential.  You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information.

6. Right of Access, Correction, and Withdrawal of Consent

You have the right to request access to, or correction of, your Personal Information, and to withdraw any consent you have given. Please e-mail us at dataprivacy@ipsen.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days or inform you in writing if we need more time. A reasonable administrative fee may apply; we will notify you of the amount in advance. If we refuse a request, we will provide the reasons for refusal. You can withdraw your marketing consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in our e-mails or by sending an e-mail to dataprivacy@ipsen.com. We will process your request as soon as reasonably practicable and within the timelines prescribed by law.

7. Cookies

This Website uses anonymous analytics, including cookies generated by Google Analytics. Cookies are small data files which are placed on your computer, smartphone or other device. Cookies are stored on the hard disk of your device without any risk of damaging it. Cookies allow us to collect automatically certain user data during your use of the Website, such as:

  • The IP address of the User (this address, which allows access to the Internet, is assigned to the device of the User by the Internet service provider and the information, which changes according to the session of the User, is not directly personally identifiable);
  • The date and time of the visit of the User on the Website;
  • The operating system of the User’s device as well as its browser;
  • How the User accesses the Website.

The Website uses several types of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: essential for secure navigation and core functionality.
  • Performance cookies: collect aggregated statistics to help us improve the Website. Some technical identifiers may constitute personal information when reasonably identifiable. Analytics data may be processed on servers outside Singapore; we ensure overseas recipients protect the data consistently with the PDPA.

Ipsen retains analytics identifiers only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law, after which they are securely deleted or de-identified.
