Dysport® (abobotulinumtoxinA)
An acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent, Dysport contains a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum indicated for:
– Symptomatic treatment of focal spasticity of the upper and lower limbs in adults and children over two years old
– Adults for symptomatic treatment of:
- Spasmodic torticollis (cervical dystonia)
- Blepharospasm
- Hemifacial spasm
- Severe primary hyperhidrosis of the axillae
– Temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar line (vertical lines between the eyebrows or frown lines) and lateral canthal lines (crow’s feet lines or laugh lines at the corners of the eyes) in adults under 65 years of age
