Our action principles

Ipsen’s four action principles provide each and every employee with a frame of reference for their daily work. These action principles reflect Ipsen's ambition, they determine the way we work together and guide our behaviors both within the company and towards our stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITY

For Ipsen, this means

  •     empowering each employee with a clearly defined set of responsibilities and scope of action;
  •     creating an environment in which people are responsible for their actions;
  •     applying the highest ethical standards throughout the organization and complying with Ipsen policies and all applicable laws and regulations in the countries in which we are present.

Individually and within the scope of each employee’s responsibilities, this means

  • our ability to focus our efforts and to take the initiative to reach our objectives or successfully fulfill our tasks;
  • coming up with solutions to strengthen our company;
  • fulfilling our commitments in a responsible and ethical manner.

TEAM SPIRIT

For Ipsen, this means

  • facilitating and fostering cross-functional collaboration;
  • encouraging people to share best practices;
  • rewarding team players.

Individually, and within the scope of each employee’s responsibilities, this means

  • helping the team as a whole;
  • working in the company’s interest, rather than protecting our own.

RESULT ORIENTATION

For Ipsen, this means

  • recognizing that operational performance and delivery generate added value;
  • using performance indicators to track progress.

Individually, and within the scope of each employee’s responsibilities, this means

  • focusing on results;
  • demonstrating pragmatism;
  • being demanding and constantly striving for the highest levels of performance.

AGILITY

For Ipsen, this means

  • promoting openness to the outside world;
  • developing the company’s ability to respond by simplifying the way we operate and streamlining decision-making processes.

Individually, and within the scope of each employee’s responsibilities, this means

  • the ability to adapt to changing circumstances;
  • making swift decisions and being agile in executing them.
